Paul Allsop, Founder and Managing Director

Paul Allsop Accountant• I am a Chartered Accountant with 31 years of professional experience in practice and industry, largely focused on corporate and international taxation.

• I am committed to providing a professional and personal service by understanding my clients’ individual needs and combining my technical knowledge and experience with a realistic and commercial approach.

• I have 11 years experience holding senior tax roles at BP, most recently as Head of Tax, Europe, and Global Tax Director of BP’s Refining and Marketing Segment. During this time I had responsibility for the tax planning and compliance needs of the businesses and worked as an integral part of the senior management teams. It is this close collaborative approach that I will bring to working with my clients at Ashton Allsop.

• I started my career working in a local Surrey based firm of chartered accountants where I provided accounting and tax services to a diverse range of smaller owner managed businesses. I continued my tax technical training at Price Waterhouse Coopers before joining BP, where I gained experience of a wide range of business and tax issues in the UK and overseas, including living and working for 4 years in the US.
